Interview with Renate Maria Bell: Artistic Personality and Feng Shui

Which artistic profile was revealed to you after you took the Artistic Personality quiz?

First of all, I wanted to tell you I had fun taking the quiz. Anyone who appreciates art, has a good dose of curiosity, and would enjoy discovering how their taste in art reveals insights into their personality will enjoy taking this Artistic Personality quiz!  My quiz result is the “Upbeat Free Spirit” type.

Do you feel this description fits you? Why or why not?

Overall, yes, I can agree with the description of Upbeat Free Spirit. Optimism, creative thinking, and dabbling in various mediums fit like a glove. A few of the Personality Traits in the description didn’t seem to fit me, but in retrospect, I find these to be quite insightful.

For example, the message of looking “at the world through rose color glasses” intrigues me. I used to be like that much more than I am now. Which makes me wonder? Is my taste in artwork reflecting that earlier part of me, maybe the child within, who very much viewed the world through rosy glasses?

What inspired you to pursue Feng Shui as a career choice?

I am naturally curious, perhaps another good trait for an Upbeat Free Spirit. I was exposed to Western Astrology at age five from my aunts Regina and Maria, my father’s sisters. With the foundation they provided early on, I ventured out on my own, developing a spiritual interest in Vedic Astrology, where I have been able to effectively tease out of a birth chart what makes a person tick and assist them with the timing of potential events.

One must learn the basics, the fundamentals, the ancient principles taught generation after generation, and once these are digested, the practice then becomes multi-dimensional and you see how everything ties together and how interconnected everything is. It’s not much different with Feng Shui.

With Feng Shui, the client and their home become the ‘horoscope’, if you will, and we tease out from the surroundings wonderful, and often profound, insight into the residents’ life.

During a Feng Shui consultation, I teach my clients how to connect with their property and interior space and how to use intention and creativity with this newfound awareness, making their Feng Shui experience deep with meaning. This way, their space is aligned with nature and energetically balanced while they themselves become more aligned with their space. Their home and office décor is imbued with purpose and reason, rather than for aesthetics alone.

When a client’s mouth drops open because the shape of their house’s floor plan, the landscaping, the artwork, the colors they’ve used indicate to me, a stranger, that there’s an issue with a certain part of their life… those light-bulb going off moments… that is what continues to inspire me to share my knowledge of Feng Shui.
